Not sure what exactly to say about this one. I was hurting pretty bad from a couple of gnarly crashes the day before at the Idyllwild Spring Challenge but this venue is too good to pass up. The crowds are massive and it is really fun when the community gets involved in the race. The course is a 6 corner .8 mile course with 2 slight risers and we would be racing for 60 minutes. The field size was somewhere between 65 and 70 and with the PROS and Cat 1's racing separately today I knew the field was going to be hungry for points and the pass was going to be fast. Tosh and I were the only Platinum Riders represented in the the field. The pass was FAST from the gun. I shot gunned it in the back for most of the race and started to make my way toward the front with 15 minutes to go, which proved harder then I imagined due to the pace of the race. I was caught behind a crash in the end and ended up finishing 38th. All I can say was the pace was FAST. Platinum ported ourselves nicely with riders represented in multiple categories and it was great to get the speed in the legs.
