A nice little saturday all in all.
My training schedule said 4 hour group ride. Kill it ride near the front. Heart rate up the whole time. No wheel sucking.
Well I didnt exactly go according to plain. I intended on leaving the abode around 730 and get an hour in before I met up with echelon for the group ride. I slept in and the one day im a little late, they decide to leave on time.
I was chasing until hoperanch. I caught the group up the first hill. I wasnt feeling it. I blew up the second real hill on hope ranch. Finished 5th in the sprint. just wasnt about it. So i altered my plan.
Osm repeats unntil I ran into gary, mark, mark, ed, steve, and mike doing everest trianing camp epic cycling ride.
I caught them right at the bottom of my first repeat. Perfect. Together we rode up osm. Up painted cave, down stage coach, up stage coach, along cielo, down gibraler, petes coffe, and then home.
Marco, Gary, and Mike rode slightly ahead of Mark luke, ed, steve and me. It was a lot of fun out there. I forget sometimes how much I really love to climb. I ran out of water a couple of times. But thanks to steve the mutant camel I always had an extra bottle when I really needed it.
Did I mentioned that the gang headed out and up rufugio before I ran into them.
I ended up at about 8000 to 8500 ft for the day (just a rough estimate based on what I did before I ran into them and what we did together) and they ended up breaking a 10,000. I have not clue how many miles I rode but i was out there about 6 hours.
Tomarrow I have to work in the morning unfortunatley so I'll be missing worlds. Ill get out and repeat osm 4 or 5 times in the afternoon... at least thats the plan. We'll see what really happens.
May your wheels spin fast and the wind be at your back.

According to Marco's Motionbased data, we did almost 13K ft. I didn't do the last bit of Refugio so you can knock 500 ft. off that for me. My data for the part we did together was about 7K ft, 46 miles. Add 1200 ft, 6 miles for your OSM repeat and about 1400, 35 miles for the Echelon ride, and you around 10K feet in 90 miles.
Good seeing you out there Chester. Keep riding hard. We did 107 miles and 12,500 ft of climbing in 7 hours. Going out for more now. Not sure what is wrong with us!
