Timing is everything

First and foremost a big Ol' congrats to a mentor, teacher, freind, and former riding partner of mine Todd Carpenter for his 6th in the 24 hour solo nationals event. Be sure to check out his blog theres a link on my page to left. Hes gonna kill it at worlds!

Its been a while since I updated. Ive been pretty busy helping Caitlin (my girlfreind) move up from LA. Ive also spent a great many hours avidly seeking employment. I've left two Jobs in the past two weeks. Cant seem to find one where Im happy and enjoying the work Im doing.

I've still been feeling a little ill. Not really sick but not 100 % and its been effecting my training this week. Ive been taking it easy... taking more time then I should off of the bike.

The sat. Echelon ride was fun. A great thing happened. CARLOS DID NOT WIN THE SPRINT. That was the goal and me and valentino did a pretty good job making sure it didnt happen.

I have the santabarbara triathalon coming up and I am going to be absolutly toast if I dont start swimming and running... and I mean SOON!!!

With Sisquoc coming up I cant quite help but feeling a little unprepared. I only rode about 12 hours at the most this week. However, that being said I feel that the time I did spend on the bike was more focused.

I suffered up Old San Marcos today and made it partly up painted cave but just didnt have the motivation to stick it all the way up.
I also feel over stoping my watch at the top of OSM. I just sort of toppled right over. It happens I suppose.

Im reading a book by David Walsch about doping and the sport of cycling its called "From Lance to Landis" and although its a great read it is very sad, a little bit dis heartening, and to be honest I almost wish I never picked it up. Its just depressing.

Some Side Notes:

Osm last week sub 17.
OSM this week 1701.
Night moves last week 2017.
Night moves this week 2016.
I keep forgetting that if I ride with Steve on the weekends I will be on the bike for at least 5 hours. I need to either remember that going into it or stop riding with Steve... or as I like to call him the CAMEL.
Mark metioned me and a bunch of other youngsters in his blog the other day so we are all sure to win this sat. up at Sisquoc... Thats the way it goes for those of you that dont know: Mark talks about you in his blog...Then you win.

Happy Riding

According to my data we were only on the bike for 4:41. We could have ridden for another 19 minutes!

Btw, I'm going to see how I feel after Sisquoc, I may go to Santa Paula instead of doing Worlds...
