another day another bloger

So Sisquac came and went. I felt okay about it.
To be honest it felt more like a club ride then a race. It was fun being out there with so many Santa Barbarians. Im still getting to know people in the cycling community and it seems like I meet more and more ever day. I ened up 6th, but because of two DQ's my official position was fourth so thats what Ive been telling everybody.
My front wheel got cliped twice. Twice, I should've fallen. Twice, I recovered and stayed up right.
Seeing as I've got just about the worst handling skills out of anyone out there on the road the only thing I can attribute to me leaving the race with all the skin on my body is a gift from the bike gods.
I left the race feeling like I could've given more. For a guy like me thats a pretty disapointing feeling. But all in all I had a Blast, raced hard, learned a lot; what more could a guy ask for.

On a more personal note I have quit two jobs in the last two weeks. I now have no job, and no money so I've decided the only way thats even remotley is acceptable is if Im a college student. So I will be returning to college in the fall.

Did everyone know that City College doesnt have a cycling team?
hmmmm... we might have to do something about that.

I've been feeling pretty bonkish latley. It seems like Im riding slower and having to put out a greater effort. I dont know if its just becuase I've been sick or if its a sign to take it easy or maybe Im not eating right.
whatever the case is its bad for the moral.

on a less personal note:
osm in 18 on wensdays.
Decided not to do night moves or osm (thurs). Just decided I wanted a break from the pain.

I need to get faster. Any suggestions?

happy riding,
chester
