Yesterday afternoon upon noticing that there was going to be a 1.97 tide around 3:15 a co worker and I decided to break out of work in a mad dash for the beach. As long as the tide is 2.30 or under you can basically run all the way to work via the beach so that is exactly what we did. We headed from work through UCSB to Goleta beach and then from there ran all the way home to the mesa in what was one of the more spectacular runs I have done in Santa Barbara. The whole way it was everything I could do not to smile. I don't know how you put a price on something like that? The ability to commute 10 miles to work by beach.
Life is simple and things make more sense out there.
