Weekend Report AK-47 Style

Saturday morning we had yet another killer team ride into the valley. Today the goal was Figueroa Mtn and the showing was very good. Marco, wisely decided that since we are all a bunch of sissy's (with the exception of Mdub And Zpizzle) he would drive over to Los Olivos and then ride and meet us on the 154 so we wouldn't all look like complete pansies when we called our wives to come pick us up in the SAG van because we couldn't complete a measly 110 mile late October training ride... Yes, it was much better this way.

The pace was nice and casual and the company doesn't get much better if you ask me. I snapped a few photos at the top of fig.

Here he is again crossing the road... no fear this little guy. I really hope he knows something that we don't, because with that kind of confidence he will be an easy target in a few weeks. :(

The ride was a lot of Fun and the team is going to be trying to get over to the valley for training rides at least 3 times a month. I think we went 2.5 hours at one point with out seeing one single car.

Sunday I got out for an 8 mile run. Nice pace and we have a beautiful stroll along the Santa Barbara Coast. We finished up with a little Back Yard Bowl action.

Then came the time change... Damn. I got to say I am not a huge fan of the whole day light savings deal. I think the plan is going to be to try to ignore it. Leave the house at 5:00, get down and dirty and be done with work with enough time to ride... the only problem is loosing it on the back end... Now if I could only get the rest of society behind me on this one...
