My Haiku's leave something to be desired for. But I do like the form.
I actually find freedom in the structure and it is vastly different then the type of writing that I typically do.
Although:
Speaking of Haiku
I am known as amateur
Some might say cat 5
First rain of Winter
West coast drivers have no clue
accidents abound
soft pitter patter
wakes me from the other side
my soul is aching
Morning sit with my mind
Noisy head obsessed with self
The breath brings quiet
Cold floor in kitchen
but wife sleeps in other room
Best to let her sleep
Water is supreme
Quenching and cleansing my soul
Bathroom is so far
