I spent today in the brisk 85 degree weather climbing...
Up OSM, Painted Cave, down ECC Stage coach, Up stage coach ECC, down painted cave osm, up OSM, painted cave, down OSM painted cave, back down CO around skofield (sp?) park, and then back home..
the view from the peak was absolutely amazing. I don't think there was any other place or life in the world I would rather be/have.
Training plans for tomorrow: worlds plus whatever else my legs can handle.
I opted out of the Brea Crit- It just wasn't in the cards. Plus I could use the miles

I'll be doing something for extra miles after worlds, probably not too much climbing though. I did 130 miles today and plan to do around 100 tomorrow and then rest up for next weekend.
I'm probably gonna do worlds then Gibraltar up and over down stage coach and back around the 101.
A buck thirty is a loooong ride mang- make sure to taper right.
Um "Gibraltar up and over down stage coach and back around the 101" is over 80 miles...
130mi training rides for ~20mi races? You guys are smart.
Anonymous- I'm actually hardly racing any crits this year. I'm trying to focus of longer road and stage races. I only ride long like that maybe one or two days a week so it works out. Thanks for the concern though. ;)
Cat 4 pros!!!
Anonymous- take it easy on that hateraide cowboy!
Chesta-
Go ahead and tell anonymous the truth... you are really training for the 2012 USPro Road Championships in Greenville, S.C., and that all these lower-category races are just some trivialities that you need to deal with when you feel like it.
Bottom line... If you got the time and motivation to train hard and long like you're doing, then more power to you! Literally.
Wow, we really touched a nerve for someone... I haven't done a long ride for over a month, it was nice to get out and stretch my legs back on the endurance side after focusing on intensity recently.
Also, as Chester said, its not like we are doing 20 mile races. I have a lot of long road races on my calendar, including an 80 mile and 60 road race next weekend.
Anyway, Chester, what did you end up doing after you guys turned up Toro?
Steve- No we didn't touch a nerve... All in good fun I'm sure.
Marco- Shhh don't tell anyone... have you decided about pine flat? I know you were on the fence for a while
