wed SST

So today was suppose to be 2 hour SST (Sweet spot training).
So a 15 minute warm up from downtown towards Goleta via the bike path then when I hit the 15 minute mark wind it up till I hit the zone and then keep it in the prescribed zone for two hours.
Well I headed up the 101 and made it all the way to Gaviotta before I turned around. It was hot and the ride looked a lot easier on paper so I wasn't anticipating having so much trouble.
But man was it hard. I got super dehydrated and had to stop to refill my bottles but by that point it was too late I couldn't seem to get enough water to quench that thirst.
But all things considered I feel good about the workout. Now I know that even though its called sweet spot training that doesn't mean its a walk in the park.
Next time Ill be a little better prepared for the effort.
Also another reminder that staying hydrated through out the day is super important.
