Why Vegan?

If you are new to the vegan movement or don't really understand why anyone would make the switch check out the following link. Do not worry you will not find any extremely graphic in your face Peta-type Images or anything else offensive. It is simply an overview on the many ways that peace can begin with our plate.

Training is going great. I finally feel like I am starting to get in the swing of things and while I am climbing as slow as molasses I have been feeling a lot stronger on the flats...

The rain has not been a real deterrent. I rely on my bicycle to get into work so rain or shine I have to get to work. Once wet the rain really isn't that big of a deal and I am constantly reminded of how wussy (me included) us central coast California-ers can really be. There are many places in the world where people train harder and longer then we do in far worse weather and manage just fine to not get sick every time it rides in the rain.

In any case... no power this year, no numbered structure... just a whole lot of hurt. It is surprising how structured training can really zap your mojo if you aren't careful. But it can also make you really effing fast... I guess there in lies the trade off.

But what I have been doing so far has been working. No real high level intensity yet but I am sure to get plenty of that once race season rolls around.

Oh yeah I also ordered my license from USA CYCLING today:

Cycling, Road: CAT 2!!!!!!
