Its that time of the month again I suppose.
Chemistry test time.
Quantum this, gas law that, covalent something else.
sheeze.
Imagine the guys responsible for all this stuff. I mean to me its just a class that I have to take a test in.
But guys like Bohr and Schrodinger? These guys looked at the world, trees, colors, the air and asked questions like why? what if? What would happen if we? Pushing the boundaries of perception and common knowledge. Striving for truth, perfection... perhaps a bit of fame and notoriety? Trying to tell a story, paint a picture.
These guys were true artists.
I remember In sitting in a Butoh workshop listening to Hijikatta's disciple answer a question about how he achieved the level of mastery and skill he demonstrated... His answer came in a simple frank manner "10 hours a day, seven days a week, 15 years, 1 focus". He answered as if was as obvious as day as if "What other way is there".
So whats the point of all this? I'm not so sure.
But I have a chemistry test t0marrow morning which I will take regardless of the feeling of impending doom creeping into me. Then I will clean my bike and take it out to OSM for a couple 280-306 watt sustained repeats. Then I will go back to school and sit in the front, and take copious notes because that is what the kids who get A's do.
It may not be unlocking the secrets of the atom or how this world works or complete mastery of the body and focus, but its what life has put in front of this 22 year old kid and so long as I continue to show up where I'm suppose to, and keep an open mind there is no limit to the amount joy, happiness, and freedom I am able to experience one day at a time.

Good luck on the test!

OSM repeats are a great way to decompress.

Wow! Pretty powerful stuff.

Wow. Sounds vaguely familiar. That last sentence.

As for Schrodinger and Bohr, I got on a kick of reading the biographies of those guys. Also Eistein, Richard Feynman, Von Neumann, all those studs. Absolutely mind blowing creativity and talent.

Hhhmmm. A Butho workshop. Pretty deep and inquisitive for a 22 year old.

Hope you did well on your test. And at OSM too.
