back in the saddle

So it would seem like my I.T. band is manageable. The Doc said the problem most likely is due to weak hip strength, and gave me some exercises and stretches that strength some of those... When I start to feel the pain I stop and stretch and it usually subsides. Good news!

I went out today and it looked something like this

5 minutes warm up
10 minute all out
5 min recovery
20 minutes 70-90 % (actually turned out to be 22 minutes because there were a couple minutes during the beginning that I slacked)
5 min recovery (This was actually about 7 minutes due to a decent in the terrain)
20 minutes 70-90%
5 minutes recovery
20 minutes home about 65 to 70 percent

came home mixed up an accelerade and off to the pool

Came home to a wonderful Moroccan Vegetable stew and brown rice pasta cooked by the world famous Caitlin Berry. It really is one to die for.

I plalan on riding the echelon Saturday ride and then its off to the Islands for a weekend sailing trip.

Congrats to all the EC finishers! as far as I know everyone who went out from Santa Barbara also finished! be sure to check out Gary, Steve, and Marco's blog, they are in the links to the left.

And last but not least congrats to an old mentor and friend of mine Todd Carpenter on his recent 24 hour solo victory at Hurkey Creek at Idyllwild. His blog is on the top of my links to the left. Way to kick ass and take names out there! This guy has been wining 24 hour solo races for the last 5 years and all thanks to Siren Bicycles right?!?

On a side note:
